현대사회에서는 다양한 문화들이 공존하며 그 각각의 고유한 가치와 삶의 유형을 수용한다. 하지만 여러 공동체간의 다양한 삶의 문화적 차이와 가치를 인정하는 다문화주의의 잘못된 적용은 가치관의 충돌을 유발하여 윤리적 혼란 상태를 초래할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현대 다문화사회에서 여러 공동체들이 지향하는 다양한 가치와 그 차이의 인정이 대립과 갈등의 유발이 아닌 대안적 타협과 절충을 도출해 가는 새로운 윤리의 가능성으로 배려윤리와 공동체를 고찰하였다. 그리고 공동체 구성원 각자의 책임과 타자에 대한 의무를 강조하는 배려공동체가 지향하는 다문화의 담론을 형성해 나갈 수 있는 인격교육을 다음과 같이 논의하였다. 첫째, ‘공존을 위한 다문화교육’은 공통의 문화를 추구하는 타자와의 만남을 배우는 교육이다. 또한 타자와 인류에 헌신하도록 하는 공동체의 신념은 인간 행동의 정서적 근원을 이해하게 될 때 더 좋은 공동체를 위한 적극적인 비판적 사고를 기를 수 있다. 둘째, 배려공동체 의식 함양을 위한 ‘배려공동체와 다문화 정체성교육’은 단순히 윤리적 지식 획득 수준을 넘어서 타자와 함께 하려는 윤리적 자기이해를 통해 능동적인 도덕적 의미를 구성해야 한다. 셋째, 배려공동체 교육과 실천적 준거’에서 학생과 교사의 유대를 강조하고 타자와 함께 행복을 추구하는 공동체를 지향하는 배움공동체 교육을 통해 타자와 인격적 만남을 통하여 함께 살아가는 배려공동체가 지향해야 할 교육적 준거와 시사점을 고찰하였다.
Abstract
Modern society is changed into multicultural society mainly owed to globalization. Thus we live with people whose values may differ from our own. But wrong comprehension of multiculturalism has raised new and pressing ethical problems. In order to resolve the problems of multicultural society, this paper examines the necessity of searching a new ethics which based on caring and community of caring. First, this article defined the concept of core ethical as caring to apply global ethics, second, try to find a new form of solidarity which is global community and community of caring. And Last, It is discussed as follow: how to construct community of caring in education emphasizing membership with responsibility and duty. First, Multiculturalism education for co-existence is required in order to devote in the other and the human being, the belief of the community makes the emotional caring origin of human behavior understand. Second, Community of caring and multiculturalism identity education will have to be based on ethical self-understanding with the other together. Last, Learning community serves as a method for improving the education practical criterion which community of caring aims.
