본 논문은 한·미 FTA 발효가 동북아 주요 국가들–중국, 일본, 대만-에 미치는경제적 효과를 동태 모형을 이용하여 분석한다. 한국과 미국간의 양자간 협정인한·미 FTA는 한국과 미국 모두에게 주요교역상대국들인 중국, 일본, 대만에게 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 그 부정적인 영향의 크기 뿐만 아니라 시간변화에 따라 그 영향의 변화추이를 분석하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 한·EU FTA 발효를 가정한 후 한·미 FTA의 파급효과를 시간변화에 따른 자본축적의 효과를 내생화시키고, 자본의 지역간 이동이 가능하게 한 축차 동태GTAP 모형을 이용하여 분석한다. 분석 결과 한·미 FTA가 동북아 3국에 미치는부정적인 영향은 한국의 산업생산성이 증대되면 더 심화된다. 그리고, 시간이 지남에 따라 동북아 3국에 대한 한국의 영향력은 높아지게 되나, 미국시장에 대한영향력은 약화된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the economic effect of the Korea - U.S. free trade agreement (FTA) to major three countries in the Northeast Asia-China, Japn, and Taiwan in a dynamic model. The Korea-U.S. FTA, which is a bilateral trade agreement is expected to have a negative influence on the three countries that are impoartant trading partners with both Korea and the U.S. This paper analyzes both the magnitude to the negative impact and its trend by time. This paper uses a recursive dynamic Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) model that endogenizes capital accumulation by time and assumes capital movement between countries. As results, its negative impacts would be expanded as the industry productivity of Korea is enhanced. Additionally, as time goes on, Korea would have more influence on the three countries. However,their trade relation with the U.S would be diminished.
