서울 도심 인쇄산업지역 가로변 건축물의 계획요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

This is a study on the planning elements of building on streets of the printing district in the central area of Seoul by analysing the relationship between the street space and the buildings. The subject of this analysis will be limited to the streets and buildings inside the city blocks in Inhyun-Dong, located in the center of Seoul city. The total length of the streets is 3,879.17m, and the total number of the buildings for this study is 513, which includes 706 individual business enterprises. First, 55% of individual enterprises is related to the printing industry and a specific order of the group manufacturing system was detected by distinguishing characteristics of locational distribution in this printing industry area. Second, by analysing the connecting system of the streets and the buildings in this area, it was found that most printing related enterprises here demand very close relations between the street spaces and the buildings. Third, most of printing enterprises in this area have the common perception that the street space is the extended indoor space for production, and furthermore, necessary structures were installed to use the street space as working area. From the analysis, the architectural planning elements for the development of this printing industry in this area are 1)close relationship between street space and inside space of the building to secure outdoor space for production activities, 2)appropriate shape and size of outdoor space for distribution system, and 3)adequate facilities to protect materials and printed matter. The architectural planning elements in this study could be the basic data for the self development and urban regeneration of this area.
