Abstract
This study examines the limitations of the modern conception of the subject, which presupposes the human as an autonomous and independent entity, under the conditions of the posthuman era shaped by the Anthropocene and emerging technologies. It proposes a hybrid subjectivity grounded in the entanglement of humans, technologies, and environments as a foundation for new ethical transformation. The ecological crisis of the Anthropocene and the mediating role of emerging technologies reveal the human as a relational being constituted through interactions with nonhuman entities, showing that subjectivity emerges within networks of interrelated beings rather than from properties internal to the human alone. Drawing on the philosophies of technology and new materialism, this study redefines the potentiality of the hybrid subject as the capacity to respond to the agency and transformations of nonhuman elements and to generate new ethical orientations through relational attunement and coordination. It further argues that responsibility in the posthuman era is a self-restorative response through which beings seek their existential continuity within an entangled world. Such hybrid subjectivity reconstructs the practical conditions of ethics in the posthuman age and provides a theoretical basis for redefining the role of the human as a relational and responsive subject, viewing the human’s existential leap not as the domination or transcendence of technology and environment but as the creation of ethical forms attuned to diverse entanglements.
