최근 인공지능이 급속히 발전하면서, 자율성과 능동성을 가진 인공지능이 단순한 도구가 아닌 윤리적 판단과 독립적행위를 수행하는 존재로 자리 잡아가고 있다. 본고는 이러한 인간과 AI가 공존하는 사회에서 나타나게 될 윤리적문제들과 딜레마들을 탈인본주의적 윤리관을 통해 새롭게 조명하고자 하였다. 본고는 이를 위해 AI와 인간이 공존하는미래사회을 소재로 한 여러 문학작품 속에 묘사된 윤리적 논란들(담론들)을 포스트휴머니즘의 세 가지 하위 이론인비판적 포스트휴머니즘, 비대표성 이론, 행위자-망 이론의 관점에서 분석하였다. 먼저 비판적 포스트휴머니즘은 인간과AI 간의 공평하고 생태적인 상호의존성을 강조하며, AI 개발 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 불평등과 부정의를 경계한다. 그리고 비대표성 이론은 관계적이고 상황적 윤리를 옹호하며 AI의 자율적 존재성과 윤리적 상대주의를 기반으로한 상황적 윤리의 관점을 지지한다. 마지막으로 행위자-망 이론은 AI를 독립적 행위자로 인식하여 사회 및 기술적관계망 속에서 AI와 인간이 상호작용하는 방식을 분석함으로써 윤리적 책임의 분담을 위한 실천적 방향을 제시한다. 본 연구의 논의는 자율성을 갖춘 AI가 윤리적 주체가 될 수 있는가, 최근의 AI 윤리를 둘러싼 논란(딜레마)의 해결방안은 무엇인가, 그리고 AI와 인간이 공존하는 미래 사회의 윤리적 문제들을 어떻게 해결할 수 있는가에 대한 의미있는통찰력을 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, AI with autonomy and agency is evolving from a mere tool into an entity capable of ethical judgment and independent action. Through a posthumanist ethical perspective, this study aims to highlight the ethical issues and dilemmas that will emerge in a society where humans and AI coexist. To this end, it analyzes the ethical discourses depicted in various literary works about future societies where AI and humans coexist, through the three sub-theories of posthumanism: critical posthumanism, non-representational theory, and actor-network theory. First, critical posthumanism emphasizes fair and ecological interdependence between humans and AI, while cautioning against inequality and injustice that may arise in AI development. Non-representational theory advocates for relational and situational ethics, supporting a situational ethical perspective based on AI's autonomy and ethical relativism. Finally, actor-network theory recognizes AI as an independent actor, analyzing how AI and humans interact within social and technological networks to propose practical strategies for shared ethical responsibility. This study provides meaningful insights into whether AI with autonomy can become an ethical agent, solutions to the current ethical dilemmas surrounding AI, and ways to address the ethical issues in a future society where humans and AI coexist.
