베트남인 학습자를 위한 한국어 모음의 지각과 산출 오류 양상 비교연구

본 연구의 목적은 베트남인 학습자들의 한국어 단모음과 이중모음의 전체 지각과 산출, 숙달도별 지각과 산출, 어두 자음별 지각과 산출 오류 양상을 비교 분석하여, 베트남인 학습자를 위한 효과적인 한국어 모음 발음에 대한제언을 하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 베트남 북부 출신 초·고급 학습자 20명을 대상으로 한국어 단모음과 이중모음의지각과 산출 실험을 수행하였다. 연구 결과에 따른 결론 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초급부터 고급 단계까지 ‘/ㅜ/->/ㅗ/’와‘/ㅓ/->/ㅗ/’의 집중적 산출 구분 교육이 필요하다. 둘째, 초급과 고급 단계까지 ‘/ㅛ/->/ㅠ/’의 집중적 지각 구분 교육이필요하다. 셋째, 초급부터 고급 단계까지 ‘/ㅠ/->/ㅛ/’, ‘/ㅢ/->/ㅟ/’, ‘/ㅖ/->/ㅚ/’, ‘/ㅝ/->/ㅚ/’의 집중적 산출 구분 교육이필요하다. 넷째, ‘/ㅖ/->/ㅚ/’는 지각 오류 양상이 산출 오류 양상에 영향을 미치며, 지각과 산출 교육이 모두 필요하다. 다섯째, /ㅜ/와 /ㅠ/는 함께 지각 구분 연습을 해야 하며, ‘/ㅗ/->/ㅜ/’와 ‘/ㅛ/->/ㅠ/’도 함께 지각 구분 연습이 필요하다. 여섯째, /ㅜ/와 /ㅠ/, /ㅓ/와 /ㅕ/는 함께 산출 구분 연습을 해야 하며, ‘/ㅜ/->/ㅗ/’와 ‘/ㅠ/->/ㅛ/’, ‘/ㅓ/->/ㅗ/’와 ‘/ㅕ/->/ㅛ/’도함께 산출 구분 연습을 해야 한다. 일곱째, 어두 자음 /ㅅ/과 /ㅈ/에서 모음 지각 연습이 필요하며, 어두 자음 /ㅅ/, /ㅂ/, /ㄷ/에서 모음 산출 연습이 필요하다. 본 연구는 베트남인 학습자들의 L1의 간섭으로 인한 모음의 지각과 산출오류뿐만 아니라, 보다 다양한 측면에서의 오류 원인을 분석하고자 한 것에 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for effective Korean vowel pronunciation education for Vietnamese learners by comparing and analyzing the overall perception and production of Korean monophthongs and diphthongs, as well as the perception and production based on proficiency levels and errors related to the perception and production of vowels according to the initial consonants. To achieve this objective, perception and production experiments on Korean monophthongs and diphthongs were conducted with 20 Vietnamese learners from northern Vietnam, consisting of beginner and advanced learners. The conclusions and recommendations based on the results of the study are as follows. First, intensive training on distinguishing between the production of ‘/ㅜ/->/ㅗ/’ and ‘/ㅓ/->/ㅗ/’ is necessary from the beginner to advanced levels. Second, intensive training on distinguishing the perception of ‘/ㅛ/->/ㅠ/’ is required at both the beginner and advanced levels. Third, intensive training on distinguishing the production of ‘/ㅠ/->/ㅛ/’, ‘/ㅢ/->/ㅟ/’, ‘/ㅖ/->/ ㅚ/’, and ‘/ㅝ/->/ㅚ/’ is necessary from the beginner to advanced levels. Fourth, the perception error pattern of ‘/ㅖ/->/ㅚ/’ affects the production error pattern, and both perception and production training are necessary. Fifth, /ㅜ/ and /ㅠ/ need to be practiced together in terms of perception differentiation, and ‘/ㅗ/->/ㅜ/’ and ‘/ㅛ/->/ㅠ /’ should also be practiced together for perception differentiation. Sixth, /ㅜ/ and /ㅠ/, /ㅓ/ and /ㅕ/ need to be practiced together for production differentiation, and ‘/ㅜ/->/ㅗ /’ and ‘/ㅠ/->/ㅛ/’, as well as ‘/ㅓ/->/ㅗ/’ and ‘/ㅕ/->/ㅛ/’, should also be practiced together for production differentiation. Seventh, vowel perception practice is needed for the initial consonants /ㅅ/, /ㅈ/ and vowel production practice is required for the initial consonants /ㅅ/, /ㅂ/, /ㄷ/. This study is significant in that it analyzed not only the perception and production errors of vowels caused by the interference of Vietnamese learners' L1, but also the causes of errors from a more diverse range of perspectives.
