본 연구는 도덕과의 산적한 난제 중에서 평가의 문제를 해결하고자 하는 노력의 일환이다. 도덕과는 교과목의 특성상 여타의 과목에 비해서 기존의 객관식 위주의 평가나 양적 평가를 적용하는데 많은 한계를 지니고 있다. 따라서 총체적 인간의 평가와 도덕성의 변화를 확인할 수 있는 평가에 적합한 대안적 평가 도구를 필요로 하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 상황에서 포트폴리오는 도덕과 평가의 개선을 위한 유용한 수단이 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 도덕과에서 포트폴리오의 활용상의 의의와 적용 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우선 포트폴리오의 개념 정의를 명확히 하고, 포트폴리오의 진행 절차를 살펴보았으며, 도덕적 성장이라는 도덕과 교육의 본질에 부합하기 위해 포트폴리오가 갖는 장점 및 유용성을 규명하였다. 이어서 도덕과에서 포트폴리오 평가를 위한 적절한 구성 내용물과 평가의 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 끝으로 포트폴리오를 통한 도덕과 평가의 개선에 대한 시사점으로 개개인의 도덕적 특성과 도덕 발달 단계에 부합하는 평가의 가능성, 도덕성 발달에 대한 평가의 가능성, 전인적인 평가 및 정의적 평가의 제고, 그리고 교수학습과 연계된 평가의 달성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This paper is one of the studies on the assessment improvement devices in moral subject education. The difficulties and limitations of assessment in moral subject education might be considered relatively greater than those in any other subject education. Portfolio assessment is the typical device that can improve the evaluation of moral subject education. In this paper, we made researches on general procedures of portfolio and illustrated application procedure and application items adjusted to practical curriculum so that you can apply them to the moral subject assessment. First, we tried to clarify the concept of portfolio. In the next parts, we analyzed and summarized systematically structural contents, structural process of portfolio. And then, we propose examples of applications in moral subject education. Portfolio assessment gives improvement of moral subject evaluation the possibilities to evaluate affective domains, to evaluate the development of morality, to evaluate characteristic of an individual, to evaluate an individual as a whole, to evaluate teaching-learning linkage. Portfolio assessment can be the excellent device in moral subject education.
