‘모빌리티’라는 키워드와 새로운 ‘젠더’의 가능성 ― 한국 『고등학교 일본어Ⅰ・Ⅱ』와 일본 초등학교 국어 교과서 안의 시각텍스트를 중심으로 ―

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the possibility of a new ‘gender’ by extracting, analyzing, and dismantling the gender binary contents implied in textbooks, which are the public media, through the keyword ‘mobility’. As the first task, the content of gender order embedded in the curriculum hidden in the textbook was traced through the imbalance of mobility applied differently to the male and female, and the set pattern of role allocation between them. First, the categorization/standardization of mobility space and disciplining of bodies were examined. Second, the content of mobility perspective that established the set pattern of culture of male and female or traditional culture was identified. For the second task, the possibility of a new gender was identified through the lens of mobility. To this end, first, the possibility of motility and the possibility of the existing gender order to be overthrown were analyzed. Second, in relation to mobility, it was found that housework and child-rearing activities were not a task only specialized for either male or female, but rather, it is a universal task based on the cooperation between two people, as the recognition is transitioning from motherhood to parenthood through the nature of love. Third, the cultural hybridity was extracted through mobility-free. In other words, the gender reorganization through the transition from building the boundaries of the gender concept to breaking up the boundaries and the convergence of gender from ‘denial of others’ to ‘recognition of others’ in gender culture and traditional culture were revealed by disclosing the division within the subject.
