한국어 학습자의 성취전략 사용 양상 및 태도 연구

이 글에서는 고급의 한국어 학습자가 실제적인 구어담화에서 의사소통을 진행할 때 사용하는 의사소통 전략, 그 중에서도 성취전략의 사용 양상과 태도를 살피는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 TOPIK 4급 이상의 한국어 학습자가 일상생활에서 발화하는 구어담화를 수집․ 전사하여, Nakatani(2005)의 분류를 기준으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 고급의 한국어 학습자들은 ‘시간 벌기 전략 > 자기 해결 전략 > 수정된 상호작용 전략 > 대화 유지 전략 > 수정된 발화 전략 > 도움 요청 전략’의 순으로 자주 사용하는 것으로 나타났는데, 시간 벌기 전략은 초중급 학습자에게 자주 나타나는 전략이다. 또한 수정된 상호작용 전략과 자기 해결 전략의 빈도가 높이 나타났으며, 또한 고급의 학습자이므로 자신의 발화에 문제가 생길 경우 풀어 말하기, 근사화하기, 재구성하기를 통해 적극적으로 의사소통 전략이 구사된 것으로 나타났다. 동일한 숙달도이지만 상중하위권의 성취도를 보이는 학습자의 성취전략에 대한 태도를 조사한 결과, 상위권의 학습자로 갈수록 성취전략을 적극적으로 사용하려는 태도를 지닌 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the usage pattern of preferred communication strategies when Korean learners communicate naturally in actual spoken discourse. In this study, we examined the classification of Nakatani(2005) based on the spoken discourse of advanced Korean learners who are in TOPIK level 4 or higher. As a result, it was found that they favored in the order of 'time- earning strategy > self-resolution strategy > modified interaction strategy > conversation maintenance strategy > revised utterance strategy > help request strategy. Communication strategies enable smooth communication with others, and these strategies can be useful in the learning process.
