韓国人学生と日本人交換留学生による 協働的な活動を中心とした授業実践報告―振り返りシートの分析から―

本稿は、韓国における大学での韓国人学生と日本人交換留学生(以下、日本人学生)との1学期間における授業実践を報告したものである。協働的な活動(グループ発表・討論)の報告、および各討論後の振り返りシートの分析により異文化理解と同時に自国文化への気づき、討論を通した学びの他に、自分の今後の行動、進路や目標への再認識等があり、単なる交流で終わるのではなく、両学生共に様々な学びがあったことがわかった。反面、授業では韓国人学生同士の意見相違の際の態度、日本人学生の受け身的な態度や母語話者としての権力行使といった問題点も浮かび上がった。今後の授業の課題としては、①韓国人学生の意見相違の際の対処法、②日本人学生へは母語話者としての振る舞いについての指導、③教師としての役割がある。今後は授業評価の分析を行い、韓国の大学における韓国人学生と留学生の授業にはどのようなニーズがあるのかを調査し、文化背景の異なる学生同士の有益な学びにつながる授業とは何かを考えていきたい。
Abstract
In this study, class practices invoiving Korean students and Japanese exchange students (hereinafter, “Japanese students”)at universities in Korea were observed over one semester. Reports on collaborative activities (group presentations/debates) and analyses of the review sheet after each discussion, indicated that both groups of students learned various things, beyond their interactions.(e.g., an awareness of their future actions, career paths, and goals). On the other hand, problems surfaced in class; these includeds negative attitudes when Korean students disagreed, passive attitudes of Japanese students, and the exercise of power as native speakers emerged. The tasks for future classes. follow. (a) dealing with differences of opinion among Korean students, (b) teaching Japanese students about their behavior as native speakers, and (c) performing in their roles as teachers. In the future, I plan to analyze class evaluations to investigate the needs of Korean and international students.' classes at Korean universities and consider which classes lead to useful learning between students from different cultural backgrounds.
