군복 보급정책의 성 인지적 분석

본 연구는 여성의 군 진입증가에 따라 체계적인 여군인력 활용강화가 요구되는 상황에서 군복 보급정책에 대한 성 인지적 분석을 시도하였다. 그 결과, 국방통계와 피복･장구류 만족도 조사 등에서 성별통계가 생산･제공되지 않고 있었으며, 각 군 피복관련 위원회 및 회의체계에 여성참여가 매우 낮아서 의사결정에양성평등 참여가 미약하다는 점, 성별에 따라 군 피복 개선 요구사항이 다르고,이런 성별차이가 국방부의 군복개선 계획에 반영되어 있지 않다는 점 등을 발견하였다. 이를 통해 성 인지적 군복정책 실현을 위한 정책과제를 제안하였다.
Abstract
The study is to conduct the gender-sensitive analysis on the supply of military uniforms due to the increase in women’s needs with the number of women entering the military. The findings show that firstly, gender disaggregated statistics have not been produced; secondly, the degree of female soldiers and officers’ participation in the military uniforms committees has been low; lastly, gender differences in experiences and needs have not been considered in the ways of improving military uniforms. Thus, this paper proposes relevant policy recommendations in order to improve gender equity on the design and supply of military uniforms.
