Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of the school social work program implemented by Kangwon Land and the Korea School Social Workers Association in six schools located in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province. To achieve this, annual survey data collected from 2012 to 2024 were utilized to conduct a time series analysis on changes in students' self-esteem, resilience, life satisfaction, and their perceptions of the school and school social workers. The results showed a gradual upward trend in the annual averages of personal perception variables, including self-esteem, resilience, and life satisfaction, during certain periods. Notably, perceptions related to the environmental system-such as the school, school life satisfaction, and school social workers-showed a distinct upward trend. The time series analysis confirmed statistically significant improvements in self-esteem, perceptions of the school, school life, school social workers, and the community. Analysis based on program participation revealed that most key variables had higher average scores for the group engaged in the school social work program compared to the non-participating group. Particularly, perceptions of the school, school life satisfaction, and school social workers showed large differences, with statistically significant differences confirmed for self-esteem, school perception, perception of school social workers, and community perception. Based on these findings, practical and research-oriented suggestions were proposed for the advancement of school social work programs.
