본 연구는 청소년의 신체활동 프로그램이 자살예방에 어떠한 영향을 주는 지를 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구대상자는 경기도 수원시 소재 중학교 1학년생 63명을 대상이며, 2개 집단으로 나누어 실시하였다. 집단은 크게 집단Ⅰ(실험군)과 집단Ⅱ(대조군)으로 구분하였다. 집단Ⅰ(실험군) 23명은 자살 예방 신체활동 프로그램을 실시한 집단이고, 집단Ⅱ(대조군)는 교육과정에 맞춘 정규 체육수업을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 자살 예방을 위한 신체활동 프로그램 개발을 위하여 ADDIE 모형절차에 따라 진행하였다. 본 연구는 신체활동 프로그램을 통하여 청소년 자살 예방의 효과를 검증하기 위해 자살생각 및 자아존중감 등을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 신체활동 프로그램이 청소년의 자살 생각을 감소시키는 데 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 둘째, 신체활동 프로그램이 청소년의 자아존중감을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같이 신체활동 프로그램은 청소년의 자살 예방에 긍정적인 도움이 되는 것으로 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the impact of youth physical activity programs on suicide prevention. The subjects of this study were 63 first-year middle school students located in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and were divided into two groups. The groups were largely divided into Group I (experimental group) and Group II (control group). Group I (experimental group) of 23 people participated in a suicide prevention physical activity program, and Group II (control group) took regular physical education classes tailored to the curriculum. In this study, the ADDIE model procedure was followed to develop a physical activity program for suicide prevention. This study examined suicidal thoughts and self-esteem to verify the effectiveness of youth suicide prevention through a physical activity program. The research results are as follows. First, the physical activity program showed positive results in reducing suicidal thoughts in adolescents. Second, physical activity programs were found to increase self-esteem in adolescents. As mentioned above, physical activity programs can be seen as a positive help in preventing suicide among adolescents.
