본 연구는 유아교육기관에서의 장애유아 성교육 운영 실태를 살펴보고, 장애유아 성교육에 대한 유아교사의 인식을 조사하여 장애유아 성교육 개발 및 지원의 기초자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 부산, 울산, 대구, 경남지역 유아교사 197명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지는 장애유아 성교육 실태(운영, 내용, 방법, 교사교육, 성행동 및 질문 등) 18문항, 장애유아 성교육 인식(운영, 내용, 방법, 교사교육 및 지원 등) 35문항으로 구성하였다. 장애유아 성교육 실태와 인식 조사 결과에 따라 다음의 네 가지 제언을 제시하였다. 첫째, 장애유아 공식적 성교육의 의무 이행률 향상 및 일상적 성교육의 병행. 둘째, 포괄적 성교육으로의 인식 전환. 셋째, 장애유아 성교육 프로그램 개발. 넷째, 유아교사의 성교육 전문성 향상을 위한 교사교육 등을 통해 장애유아 성교육 활성화를 지원해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the current status of sexuality education for early childhood with disability in early childhood education institutions and to investigate the awareness of early childhood teachers regarding sexuality education for early childhood with disability in order to provide basic data for the development and support of sexuality education for early childhood with disability. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting 197 early childhood teachers in Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, and Gyeongnam. The survey consisted of 18 questions on the current status of sexuality education for early childhood with disability (operation, content, method, teacher education, sexual behavior, questions) and 35 questions on the awareness of sexuality education for early childhood with disability (operation, content, method, teacher education, support). Based on the survey results on the current status and awareness of sexuality education for early childhood with disability, the following four suggestions were made: First, increase the completion rate of mandatory regular sexuality education for early childhood with disability and implement it in parallel with daily sexuality education. Second, change awareness to comprehensive sexuality education. Third, develop a sexuality education program for early childhood with disability. Fourth, implement teacher education to improve the professionalism of early childhood teachers in sexuality education. Through this, we should support the activation of sexuality education.
