Abstract
This paper analyzes the pass-through effect of anti-dumping duties using 7 cases (Stainless Steel Bar, Polyvinyl Alcohol, PVC Plate, Uncoated wood free paper, Choline Chloride, Alkali manganese batteries, Lithium MnO2 ) in 5 industries(Basic metal products, Chemicals and chemical products, Pulp, Paper and paper products, Beverages, Electrical machinery & apparatus) filed to Korea Trade Commission. Estimation results show that salesprice increases by 2.34% for every 1% rise in exporter’s antidumping duties in industries with mark-up in the range of 30%(Basic metal products, Chemicals and chemical products, Electrical machinery & apparatus) while sales price increases by 3.59% for every 1% rise in exporters’ antidumping duties in industries with mark-up in the range of 40%(Pulp, paper and paper products, Beverages). Results of this paper show that the higher the exporter’s market power as represented by their mark-up the more pass-through on sales price.
