Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between COVID-19 risk perception, tourism destination image, and re-patronage intentions. In addition to, investigate the mediating effects of tourism destination image on the relationship between COVID-19 risk perception and re-patronage, and also, the moderating effects of health consciousness in the travel of COVID-19 risk perception on re-patronage intentions. The survey for analysis was distributed to tourists who had visited Jeju Island, and 253 copies were used for the final analysis, excluding unresponsive and insincere surveys. As an analysis method, factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, mediating analysis, and moderation analysis were analyzed with the R-based Jamovi program. The hypothesis results are as follows. Hypothesis 1; COVID-19 risk perception has a negative (-) effect on re-patronage intention as adopted. Hypothesis 2, COVID-19 risk perception has a negative (-) effect on tourism destination image as adopted. Hypothesis 3: tourism destination image has a positive (+) effect on re-patronage intention. Hypothesis 4: tourism destination image has partially mediating effectㄴ on the relationship between COVID-19 risk perception and re-patronage intentions and as adopted. Lastly, Hypothesis 5: health consciousness played a significant role as moderating variable in the relationship between COVID-19 risk perception and re-patronage intention. In this study, from the background of COVID-19, the role of risk perception as a single factor was examined so that risk perception of previous study as several factors has academic significance in expanding the studies, and additionally, it seems crucial in investigating the moderating effects of health consciousness between independent and dependent variable in wellness and well-being lifestyle trend oriented society.
