Abstract
This paper compared the king's names such as “Naeji(乃智)” and “Jidoro(至 都盧)” in the inscription of the Stele at Yeongil Nangsuri with to argue that the discrimination between Dental consonants and Alveolar consonants was weak among Korean Chinese characters in the 5th century. Based on this, it was considered that the discrimination between ‘至’ and ‘智’ was weak, and judged that ‘至都盧’ in the Stele and ‘智證’ in other literature were the same person. If “至都盧 and 智證” refer to the same person, it becomes clear that the 癸未 year in the Stele which includes “至都盧葛文王” is 443 or 503. Looking at the date of establishment of this Stele as the about 5th century, it is possible to estimate the formation of Idu branching out from authentic Chinese Text data. For example, Phrases such as ‘此七王等’, ‘所白了事’, ‘盡令節居利得之’ etc show a different structure from authentic Chinese text data in the 5th century. Among them, the follow-up in the form of multiple suffixes seen in the ‘此七王等’ was viewed as a clear case of involvement in Korean elements, but the specificity of the word order seen in ‘所白了事’ and ‘盡令節居利得 之’ was viewed as bilingual identification. Through this analysis, it is possible to estimate that the formation of Idu branching out from authentic Chinese Text data was gradually made. In addition, citing that the appearance of ‘噵’ used in this Stele preceded the data from the China, ‘噵’ was made in Silla for the first time.
