Abstract
This study is trying to examine how adaptation factors of expatriate in the local environment affect their commitment using samples of South Korea's expatriate managers in China. Especially, this research was reliable in that it actually surveyed 201 South Korean expatriates in China and analyzed the relationship between the factors of adaptation and organizational commitment. The result of this research is as follows. First, the higher the work stability and satisfaction, the better the degrees of expatriates' adaptation, and furthermore, their commitment towards their companies increases. Second, the higher the satisfaction regarding fairness of human resources administration's process and distribution and the better the relationship with colleagues in locals, the higher the commitments they have in their companies. Third, the expatriates might have already adapted well to the culture at the point of survey, or the cultural difference between South Korea and China is narrow, or the expatriates might have acknowledged. As this research investigated, in order for expatriates to have successful achievement in overseas, the three factors regarding duties, organization, and culture, are all significant.
