With the rapid development of Internet, online news headline is becoming increasingly important. It is a great challenge for the translators to translate it well. This paper based on H. F. Plett’s classification to provide some specific translation types, through comparative analysis of Korean online news headline’s translation. Plett’s classification have been divided into Language Operation and Language Dimension. Further the Language Operation classification can be broken into addition, subtraction, substitution, permutation, equivalence. So this paper focusing on Language Operation especially, selecting some online news headline in The Dong-A ILbo, The Chosun ILbo, The Hankyoreh to analyze. Also this paper is significant in that it will lay a foundation for understanding the difference of translation types of Korean-Chinese.
