진술화행의 개념과 범주에 관한 연구

이 연구에서는 우리말 대화에서 많은 비중을 차지하고 있는 ‘진 술화행’에 대해 살피고자 하였다. 이에, 대화에서 실현되는 ‘진술’표현들 을 대상으로 화용론적 관점에서 특성을 분석하여 개념을 정하고, 인접 화 행들과의 구분을 통해 범주를 설정하여, ‘진술화행’에 대한 명확한 규정과 체계를 정립하고자 하였다. 먼저 ‘진술화행’의 개념에서는 화용적 특성으 로서의 내용과 기능, 화자의 태도와 의도를 청자와의 상관성을 중심으로 이를 살펴보았다. 그리고 ‘진술화행’의 범주에서는 이와 구분이 필요한 인 접 화행들을 선행발화와 후행발화의 위치로 나누어서, 선행발화 위치에 서는 ‘정보 알림’, ‘감정 표출’, ‘요청’ 기능을 하는 화행들과 구분하였고, 후행발화 위치에서는 ‘요구에 대한 반응’, ‘전달에 대한 반응’ 기능을 하는 화행들과 구분하여 ‘진술화행’의 범주를 설정하여 보았다.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to establish the concept and category of statement speech act. On this study, I analyzed the character of statement speech act, and established the concept and category of it. The way of establishing the category of statement speech act is to distinguish the differences among the similar speech acts on the same position of the conversation. So I compared a number of utterances in the position of preceding and following that have special function, such as ‘providing information’, ‘expressing emotion’, ‘requiring’, ‘response for request’, and ‘response for message’. Therefore, statement speech act’s concept is as follows : statement speech act is the utterances that express speaker’s own thoughts and feelings about the speaker, or the work of the speaker, the object around the speaker at the beginning of the conversation. And statement speech act is different from information 1 speech act, information 2 speech act and request speech act at the beginning of the conversation. Also statement speech act is different from conformity speech act, cynic speech act at the following of the pre-utterance.
