유가철학 ‘서(恕)’를 통해 본, 도덕윤리교육의 배려(配慮)윤리 연구

Abstract

Consideration is a fundamental method of communication for human relationships with others. Significantly, humans put great importance on relationships with others for their community life as social beings. It is a virtue of the core value of moral ethics education because it is more important than anything else to practice appropriate relations in the reality of community society. This study investigates the ethics of care from the perspective of consideration in Confucian philosophy. The ethic of care becomes the highest virtue of consideration as human morality in Confucian philosophy, the foundation of good, and the sub-virtue of practicing humanity, which becomes the principle of love. In other words, practicing altruistic acts that aim for good to others by applying one’s heart in human relations implies that the heart of love must be contained on the basis. The practice of consideration is a mutually beneficial and win-win strategy for oneself and others. This practice of consideration could be a moral path that uses oneself as a measure to think and examine others and direct them to the right path for a network practice discipline of Confucian philosophy with fairness. In addition, the practice of care through consideration forms an organic integration system along with other moral cultivation values of sincerity, justice, and responsibility, consistent with the fostering method that leads to organic expansion and integration presented by the Confucian philosophy. This implies that the virtues of moral ethics in this regard should be organically expanded and integrated into the theory of cultivation of Confucian philosophy. As described above, studying the ethics of care through consideration from a Confucious perspective has an educational value and significance that can be applied to the current reality of Korean moral education.
