『통합사회』 에서 평화지향 통일교육 모색

이 글에서는 2015 교육과정 『통합사회』과목의 통일교육 관련 내용을 검토하고, 평화지향 통일교육의 구성 기반을 모색하는 동시에, 평화지향 통일교육을 위한 개선된 성취기준과 내용요소를 제안하고자 하였다. 2015 교육과정에서에서는『통합사회』의 신설로 인하여 융합적이고 입체적인 통일교육을 실시할 수 있는 외형적 조건을 일정 정도 갖추었지만, ‘평화’ 나 ‘통일’이 핵심 개념, 핵심 가치로 선정되지 못하였고, 내용요소 역시 학교급별 계열성과 과목별 통합성 측면에서 다소 아쉬운 점을 내포하고 있다. 따라서 평화의 가치를 기저에 담고 있는 통일교육으로의 지향점을 보다 분명히 하고, 통합사회 신설 취지에 맞도록 융합적 통일교육을 실시하기 위해서는 보다 보완된 내용 체계가 요구된다. 이에 따라 『통합사회』의 내용 체계를 보완하고 개선된 성취기준을 제안하였다.
Abstract
In this article, we reviewed the contents of the "Integrated Social Studies" course of the 2015 curriculum, and searched for the foundation of the peace - oriented unification education, and proposed improved achievement standards and content elements for effective unification education. In the 2015 curriculum, the "Integrated Social Studies" has been equipped with a certain degree of external conditions that allow for fusion and three-dimensional unification education, but "peace" and "unification" are not selected as core concepts and core values. And content elements also have a somewhat unsatisfactory point in terms of the integration of school classes and subjects. Therefore, there is a need for a more complementary content system and achievement standards that can clarify the point of unification education emphasizing peace and apply it to the school site. Accordingly, we complemented the relevant content elements in the "Integrated Social Studies" course and proposed improved achievement standards.
