Abstract

A Study on Moral Responsibility of Communities Contrary to the traditional view that only man should be regarded as a moral subject who has a autonomous will, it is suggested here that we should regard human collectives as moral agents. At first human collectives are divided into two classes, i.e. aggregate(for example random collection) and conglomerate collectivity which has a internal organization or a system of decision procedure. Secondly, there are non-distributive collective responsibility and distributive collective responsibility which could be divided into the responsibilities of members. Thirdly, we should raise questions of moral responsibility of human collectives according to the types of human collectives. Lastly, we need a new desi후 for distributive responsibility in the collective. Also we should regard the non-distributive collective responsibility as the shared responsibility of all collective members, which could be justified from the membership.
