Shipping Finance had been a stable financing led by European banks and financial companies. But since the ‘Financial turmoil’ in 2008, monetary stringency has been continued and Asian countries, such as Korea, China and Japan, have been expected to perform more important role in the market. Korea Government has a plan to support shipping finance and has been considering several political options. In this article, the authors investigated the preference for 5 policy alternatives. The investigation was carried out for 3 groups -, shipbuilding industry group, shipping industry group and national financial institution group through AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Through the investigation interesting insights were found. For example, shipping companies have been less supported by policy finance from Korea government. In spite of different preference of each group, a few important alternatives were suggested through the result of the study.
