중학교 과학교사의 과학 수업 발문에 대한 반성 분석

이 연구에서는 중학교 과학교사 다섯 명의 ‘기체의 압력과 부피의관계’ 수업 발문 반성의 특징을 생산적 반성 관점에서 분석하였다. 수도권 중학교에 재직 중인 과학교사 5명이 연구에 참여하였다. 과학교사는 ‘기체의 압력과 부피의 관계’ 수업 2개 차시의 수업 비디오를보면서 발성사고를 통해 자신의 수업 발문을 반성하였다. 반성 후반구조화된 면담도 시행하였다. 연구 결과 과학교사들은 ‘지도’ 측면을 가장 많이 고려하였고, ‘학습자와 학습’, ‘내용 지식’ 순으로 많이고려하였다. 그러나 ‘평가’ 측면은 거의 고려하지 않았다. 과학교사들은 2가지 측면의 통합이 주로 나타났고, 3가지 측면의 통합도 종종나타났다. 하지만 4가지 측면의 통합은 거의 나타나지 않았다. ‘학습자와 학습’ 및 ‘지도’ 측면과 다른 측면의 통합이 주로 나타났고, ‘내용지식’과 다른 측면의 통합도 비교적 빈번하게 나타났으나, ‘평가’ 측면이 다른 측면과 통합된 반성은 매우 적었다. 이를 바탕으로 과학교사가 다양한 측면을 고려하여 발문을 사용하는 능력을 향상시키는방안에 대한 시사점을 논하였다.
Abstract
In this study, the characteristics of five middle school science teachers’ reflections on their questioning were analyzed from the perspective of productive reflection. Five middle school science teachers participated in the study. The teachers reflected on their questioning using the think-aloud method while watching their videos of two lessons on ‘the relationship between gas pressure and volume.’ Semi-structured interviews were conducted after the reflections. The analyses of the results indicated that the teachers most frequently considered the aspect of ‘instruction,’ followed by ‘learners and learning’ and ‘subject matter knowledge.’ In contrast, ‘assessment’ was rarely considered. The integration of two aspects was the most common, while the integration of three aspects was observed occasionally. However, the integration of all four aspects was rarely found. The integration of ‘learners and learning’ and ‘instruction’ with other aspects was most frequent, and the integration of ‘subject matter knowledge’ with other aspects was found to be also relatively common. However, reflections that integrated ‘assessment’ with other aspects were very rare. Based on these results, practical implications for improving teachers’ questioning ability considering various aspects were discussed.
