북한의 외국어로서 조선어교육에서 『조선어:류학생용』의 사용 환경과 통시적 변화 -1968년, 1973년, 1982년, 1991년, 2022년 판본을 대상으로-

Abstract

This study aims to examine the context and background of the North Korean language textbook for foreigners, Joseoneo:ryuhaksaengyong, to investigate its academic significance of KFL in the DPRK through a diachronic analysis. For this purpose, editions of Joseoneo: ryuhaksaengyong published by Kim Il Sung University in 1968, 1973, 1982, 1991, and 2022 were collected. In addition, text book analysis criteria were established to conduct a diachronic analysis of the textbooks, and the analysis was carried out accordingly. The study found that Joseoneo: ryuhaksaengyong was exported to Eastern European countries through various channels during a time when there was limited awareness of South and North Korea. It was used for an extended period for political purposes. It also played a significant role in laying the foundation for KFL(DPRK) and Korean studies in Eastern Europe. In terms of structure and content, the textbook reflected trends in foreign language education and developed through the stages of `advancement, deepening, refinement, and expansion.' Thus, Joseoneo:ryuhaksaengyong has been utilized both inside and outside DPRK in various ways, reflecting contemporary trends in foreign language education while continuously evolving. As a representative textbook for KFL(DPRK), it is expected to undergo further development, prompting the need of continuous attention and research.
