디지털 대전환과 인공지능 생활화 시대에 진입하면서 학생 주도성 구현 수업을 위한여러 변화가 진행되고 있다. 2015 개정 교육과정부터 교과 역량이 제시되었고, 2022 개정 교육과정에서는 학생 주도성과 프로젝트 학습이 명시되고 주제 탐구 독서 과목이신설되었다. 특히 2022 개정 교육과정은 ‘삶과 연계된 깊이 있는 학습’을 강조하여 삶과연계된 개념 중심의 탐구 학습을 지향한다. 국어과 읽기 수업에서도 학생 주도적이고협력적이며 읽기 역량이 함양되는 읽기 수업이 모색되고 있다. 이 연구는 디지털 사회환경에서 중요하게 부상한 공감적 상상력과 시각적 문해력, 비판적 사고력 계발에 주목하고, 새로운 읽기 수업자원으로서 읽기탐구와 현대 그림책을 결합한 읽기 수업 설계방안을 모색하고 수업 사례를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기초 문해력 저하와 디지털 읽기 맥락에서 2022 개정 교육과정이 강조하는 ‘삶과 연계된 깊이 있는 학습’과 연관지어 읽기탐구의 필요성과 본질을 살펴보고, 깊이 있는 읽기가 가능한 읽기탐구 대상으로서 현대 그림책의 특성과 교육적 가치를 살펴보았다. 특히 학생 주도성과 깊이 있는학습이 가능한 현대 그림책 읽기탐구 수업에서 학생이 스스로 수립하는 목적이 매우중요하다고 보고, 학생이 읽기탐구 과정에서 생성하는 읽기탐구 질문과 학생이 선택한읽기탐구 결과물로서 프로젝트 유형을 결합하여, 프로젝트기반 학습으로 읽기탐구 수업 설계를 탐색하고 수업 사례를 개발하였다. 이 연구는 학생 주도성과 깊이 있는 학습관점에서 읽기탐구의 본질과 읽기탐구 대상으로서 현대 그림책의 가치를 고찰하고, 프로젝트기반 읽기탐구 수업 설계 방안을 탐색하고 수업 사례를 제시하여, 읽기역량 계발을 위한 읽기 수업의 외연을 확장하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study focuses on reading inquiry as a new reading resource and examines the essence of reading inquiry in relation to Wolf's deep reading, which is being re-examined in the context of declining basic literacy and digital reading. It also explores the educational value of contemporary picture books as subjects of reading inquiry. Contemporary picture books are a unique interdisciplinary genre that develops empathetic imagination through emotional engagement with characters and enhances visual literacy and critical thinking through the analysis of the interaction between text and illustrations. Furthermore, this study investigates the relationship between reading inquiry and project-based learning as a feasible instructional design approach from a deliberate educational perspective. By examining the essence of reading inquiry and the educational value of contemporary picture books, this study explores the design pathways for project-based reading inquiry lessons and presents developed cases of project-based reading inquiry using contemporary picture books.
