For the efficient teaching and learning of a language expression, we should study the detail usages of it to make pedagogic contents and methods. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the detail usages of korean ‘-(으)ㄹ게(요)’ for Korean language teaching & learning. It's basic meaning is [+intention, +consideration of the hearer] and it's detail usages are as follows. 1. We can use it, when we answer for the hearer's request. 2. We can use it, when we speak first as well. In this case, the detail functions of the speech including ‘-(으)ㄹ게(요)’ are 'promise', 'asking for the tacit understanding of the hearer' and 'greetings'.
