이 글에서는 『자본론』 제1권에 나타난 생산력(Produktivkraft) 개념과 생산성(Produktivität) 개념의 차이를 살펴보고 다음과 같은 추정을 제시한다. 첫째, 마르크스는 노동강도의 강화나 기계 도입의 효과 그 자체를 설명할 때에만 생산성이라는 용어를 사용했기 때문에 생산력을 생산성보다 좁은 의미로 사용했을 것이다. 둘째, 마르크스는 노동력 이외의 생산요소에 대해서는 생산력이라는 용어를 쓰는 것을 회피했다.
Abstract
This note examines Marx’s usage of Produktivkraft and Produktivität in the first volume of Das Kapital . Marx used the latter as a broader concept than the former, suggesting that labor intensification or the direct effect of introducing machinery is an increase in Produktivität rather than Produktivkraft . Furthermore, Marx tried to avoid using Produktivkraft when explaining the so-called productivity of factors of production other than labor power.
