The directions for the development of teacher's guidebook bases on 2009 revised curriculum for Korean language at elementary school are as belows; pursue mutual understanding with the education at classroom, present a clear guidance about what should be taught, emphasize on the method of teaching and learning, provide the material that is helpful for teaching, be composed of easy to use. The 2009 revised teacher’s guidebook of elementary school is composed of the three parts, ‘the understanding of Korean language material’, ‘the practice of teaching and learning’ and an ‘appendix’. And I analyze the structure and the content of teacher’s guidebook. The desirable direction of teacher’s guidebook’s structure and contents to support creative Korean language arts teaching and learning are as follows. ․Both the process of elaboration and slimming is essential. ․It should include substantial contents of pedagogical content knowledge. ․It should present various appliance models of korean language teaching learning. ․It should provide learning material of differentiated instruction as supplementation and advanced. ․It should provide a plenty of teaching learning material in various way.
