2009년 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 국어 교과서 개발 과정에서 최초로 <국어활동>이란 교과서가 등장했다. 역사적으로 최초의 교과서이니만큼 그 성격이나내용, 조직 등에 대해 현재 이러저런 논란이 많은 상황이다. 이 글에서는 새롭게 등장한 <국어 활동> 교과서의 성격에 대해 살펴보고, 현장의 초등학교 교사들이 <국어 활동>에 대해 어떤 생각을 가지고 있고, 실제로 어떻게 활용하고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 앞으로 <국어 활동> 교과서를 어떻게 구성해야 하는지 그 방향을탐색해 보았다. 이 과정에서 미국의 몇몇 주요 출판사의 교과서를 살펴보았다. 이 글에서는 <국어 활동> 교과서의 구성 방향으로 자기 주도적 학습 형태를강화하고, 학습량을 상당 부분 축소하며, <국어>와의 단원 밀착형 형태를 취할것을 제안했다.
Abstract
<Korean Activities> textbook are first bored historically according to the 2009korean curriculum. This textbook rouse variety of problem in the contents andformats. In this time we need to investigate these problems. Expecially we need toconsidered teacher’s awareness about these textbook and actual conditions of usein the elementary school. In this article we search the awakeners of elementary school teachers. 116teachers participate in the questionnaire method. Theses teachers respond to thevariety of questionnaire. For example The satisfactions degree of these corner oftextbook, level of learning amounts and actual conditions of use are responded. As a result researcher persists the many ways of development. First thesebook’ usefulness are focussed. And the units must be constructed among therelationships of the <korean> textbook. The amount of learning must bedecreased also.
