‘주체화와 표상’에 진입하기 직전, 서벌턴이 자신 외 다른 서벌턴과 대면했을경우, 서벌턴은 어쩌면 희망적·미래적인 ‘주체화와 재현’의 문제보다는 자신도 서벌턴으로서 직면한 응급적 상황을 타개하기 위해 즉자적・대자적으로자신을 규정하기도 한다. 본고에서 검토하는 류큐 (대) 식민지 대만의 관계가이의 전형적 예증이다. 그러나 더 복잡한 것은 2차 서벌턴인 대만에게 류큐(오키나와)는 지배계급인 동시에 2차 서벌턴일 가능성도 있다는 점이다. 상황은 상당히 복잡하다. 본고는 바로 그 복잡함과 난해함에서 파생되는 류큐(오키나와)와 대만의 상호관계를 서벌턴과 제2차 서벌턴적 관점에서이해하려는 시도다.
Abstract
Just before entering “subjectification and representation,” when subaltern confronts another subaltern other than himself, Subaltern defines himself as a servant in order to overcome the emergency situation he is facing as a servant rather than a hopeful and future “subjectification and representation.” This is typically suggested by the relationship between Okinawa and colonial Taiwan, which will be discussed in the text. What’s more complicated, however, is that for Taiwan, the Ryukyu (Okinawa) could be the ruling class. The situation is not simple This paper is an attempt to understand the interrelationship between Ryukyu (Okinawa) and Taiwan, which is derived from its complexity and difficulty, from the perspective of subaltern and the second subaltern. Furthermore, I would like to clarify how to overcome a common subaltern position.
