This paper investigates the usages, meanings, andcontexts when combining the clauses formed by the ending “-go” withthe particle “nun.” Through the function of the particle “nun” goingtogether with the clause, the previous arguments about the functionsof the ending “nun” can be discussed in depth. First, from the corporaexamples, it is found that “gonun” is used in temporal and conditionalrelations. Also “gonun” cannot be used in enumerating relations, inwhich the ending “-go” is typically used, because of the topicalizingfunction of “nun.” Second, it is identified that the particle ‘nun’ adjoinedto a clause has a function of topicalization; and it delivers the eventof the following clause based on the event of the preceding clause,which is a function that is distinguished from the clause whith theparticle ‘-go.’ Third, it turns out that “gonun” in the conditional relationsis not the one ending itself but the combined one between “-go” and“nun.” At the same time, the fact that some specific clausal types that“gonun” can makes is identified; and the structural contexts where“gonun” makes sentences containing conditional relations are alsodemonstrated.
