報道番組の発話文字テロップに関する分析 ―ヒューマンドキュメンタリー番組との比較を中心に―

本稿では、報道番組の発話文字テロップを資料にし、まずは言葉から文字になる過程での訂正方法について調べ、韓日の比較を試みた。次に、ヒューマンドキュメンタリー番組を対象にした郭銀心(2022)の結果と比較し、発話文字テロップの機能について分析を行った。その結果、報道番組では韓日ともに「伝達内容の簡潔さ」が重視されるが、ヒューマンドキュメンタリー番組では重視される機能に違いがあることがわかった。日本は報道番組と同じく「伝達内容の簡潔さ」を表すための削除が多く行われる。一方、韓国は「情報伝達の正確さ」とともに「言葉の正しさ」を表すための修正が多い。このように発話が文字化される過程で行われる訂正には番組のジャンル別に相違点が見られ、韓日に違いがあることが明らかになった。そして、発話文字テロップを通して、視聴者に対して何を伝えたいのか、何を重視しているのか、という番組制作側の意図を垣間見ることができるであろうし、この点においても韓日は互いに異なることがわかった。
Abstract
This article aimed to compare Korea and Japan using speech comments following the telop of a news program as material and investigate how to correct them in the process of changing words to letters. Next, the function of the comments following the telop was analyzed by comparing the results of Kwak (2022) targeting human documentary programs. According to the results, both Korea and Japan place importance on "simplicity of communication" in news programs; however, differences in functions are emphasized in human documentary programs. In Japan, in news programs, many deletions express the simplicity of the message content. However, Korea has many corrections to express "the correctness of words" along with "the accuracy of information transmission." Thus, differences in the corrections made appear in the process of the speech being written between Korea and Japan. Through the speech-writing telop, we can gain insights into the program's intention to convey and emphasize to viewers, and Korea and Japan differ in this respect.
