Abstract
Increasing the amount of physical activity and reducing sedentary time cannot be separated to apply health promotion models. In fact, physical activity guideline recommends to replace sedentary time to physical activity time. It is also critical to develop a physical activity intervention program with sedentary time breaks and reductions. Although it are lacks of research evidences of interventions, it has been emphasized to employ digital mobile-based physical activity program while applying various sedentary behavior change models. From the research driven evidences, smart phone-based interventions of increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary time has been paid attentions to include persuasive models as well as to consider environmental limitations for behavior changes.
