朱子의 『春秋』 해석방법론에 관한 연구

Abstract

ZhuXi (朱熹) argued that understanding the cause of Spring and Autumn Annals (春秋) is the key to interpretation of it, and suggested two core methods for this. The first of them is the objective method of reading to understand the cause of Spring and Autumn Annals and second, the criticism on the falsehood praises shown on the censure way of criticism of Spring and Autumn Annals. First of all, the cause of Spring and Autumn Annals is shown on the historic facts. To clarify the essence of it, therefore, you need such reading method to see the record of Spring and Autumn Annals as an objective history. Second of all, ZhuXi strongly denied the falsehood praises and censure way of criticism that used to be utilized as standard of interpreting Spring and Autumn Annals. He argued that the real aspect of Spring and Autumn Annals could only be found when the falsehood praise and censure way of criticism, which arbitrarily inquire and distort the cause of Spring and Autumn Annals, are eliminated. In order to establish such interpretation methodology, ZhuXi critically reviewed the errors of the falsehood praises and censure way of criticism by taking examples from Three Biographies (三傳) and the interpretation of Spring and Autumn Annals done by HuAnGuo (胡安國) and ChengYiChuan (程伊川). It may be highly valuable in the academic history that he criticized the existing standard of signature interpretation of Spring and Autumn Annals in such bold way and suggested the objective interpretation methodology of his own.
