2020년 11월 총선에서 압승한 NLD 주도의 미얀마 국회가 개원하기 직전이었던 2021년 2월 1일에 발생한 미얀마 군부의 재집권은 이제 거의 2년째에 들어서고 있다. 근거 없는 총선의 불법 사례를 빌미로 2008년 헌법에 규정된 비상사태 선포를 통하여 정치 전면에 등장한 군부는 이전에 볼 수 없었던 시민들의 강한 저항을 맞았다. 이것은 지난 역사 속에서 찾아볼 수 없었던 시민의식이었다. 따라서 2022년에도 모든 분야에 있어서 혼돈은 계속되었다. 시민저항, 서구의 경제 제재, 사회적 무질서와 불안정 및 종교적 불신 등 이전과 다른 새로운 양상들이 부상되었던 시기였기도 하였다. 이 글에서는 미얀마 군부의 재집권 이후 1년이 지난 시점인 지난 2022년 동안 정치, 경제, 사회문화 분야에서 어떠한 변화가 발생하였고, 또 어떠한 점들이 지속되고 있는지 살펴보고자 한다.
Abstract
The Myanmar military's takeover, occurring on February 2021 just before the opening of the Myanmar National Assembly led by the NLD, which won a landslide victory in the November 2020 general election, is now entering its second year. The military regime, which appeared on the political front through the declaration of a state of emergency stipulated in the 2008 Constitution under the pretext of illegal cases of general elections without grounds, encountered stubborn resistance, or civil disobedience movement that had never been seen before. This was an unexpected civil consciousness that could not be found in the past history. Therefore, chaos has continued in all areas throughout 2022. It was also a time when new and different aspects emerged, such as civil resistance, Western economic sanctions, social disorder and instability, and religious distrust, etc. In this paper, I would like to describe and examine what changes have happened in the fields of politics, economy, and socio-culture and what things have been continued during 2022.
