성인학습자대상 학위과정의 교양교과목 개편에 관한 연구 - D대학교 중심으로 -

4차 산업혁명과 평균 수명 연장으로 성인 학습자 교육 수요가 증가했지만, 교양 과목은 이들의 특성을 반영하지 못해 학습에 어려움이 있다. 본 연구는 D대학교 성인학습자를 위한 교양교과목 편성과 관련하여 전문가 FGI와 재학생의 설문조사를 통해 효과적이면서 적절한 교양교육의 목적을 달성할 수 있는 교과목을 선정하고 개편하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 분석결과 첫째, 설문조사를 통해 성인학습자를 위한 교양교과목이 필요하다는 응답이 101명(66.4%)로 많았으며, 학령기와 차별화된 교육과정, 다양한 역량의 교양교과목 제공, 실생활에 도움이 되는 교과목의 개편이 요구된다. 둘째, 전문가대상 FGI의 결과 교양교과목 개편시 성인학습자의 경험과 지식을 활용할 수 있는 방안을 고려해야 하고, 학습자들의 플랫폼 접근성이 필요하며, 교수자는 피드백, 현장중심적인 강의, 최신트랜드 반영 등의 역량이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the extension of life expectancy have increased the demand for education for adult learners. However, general education courses fail to reflect their unique characteristics, leading to learning difficulties. This study, conducted through a survey of experts and students at D University in Busan, aimed to select and revise courses that can effectively and appropriately achieve the goals of general education. The analysis revealed that, first, the majority of respondents (101, 66.4%) indicated the need for general education courses for adult learners. This suggests that curriculum reform should include a differentiated curriculum for school-age learners, a broad range of competencies, and courses that address real-world applications. Second, the expert FGI indicated that curriculum reform should consider ways to leverage adult learners' experiences and knowledge, ensure student access to platforms, and provide instructors with the necessary capabilities to provide feedback, engage with real-world learning, and reflect the latest trends.
