· 연구 주제: 본 연구는 대학의 성인학습자 교육 활성화 방안을 모색하여, 중장년층의 재교육을 통해 대학 교육의 지속 가능성을 확보하고자 한다. · 연구 배경: 21세기 지식기반 사회로의 전환과 함께 평생학습의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 특히, 인구구조 변화로 인해 학령인구가 감소함에 따라 대학의 지속 가능성을 위해 성인학습자 교육의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에 따라, 대학은 성인학습자의 요구를 충족시키고, 이들의 학습 참여를 촉진할 수 있는 새로운 교육 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 기존 연구들은 주로 성인학습자의 학습 동기나 장애 요인에 초점을 맞추었으나, 본 연구는 대학 차원에서 성인학습자 교육 활성화를 위한 종합적인 전략을 제시한다. 특히, 성인학습자의 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 교육 과정, 학습 접근성 향상, 유연한 학사 관리 방안 등을 포괄적으로 다루며, 대학의 제도적 차원에서 성인학습자를 지원하는 통합적 접근을 시도하였다. · 연구방법: 본 연구는 문헌 연구와 함께 대학의 성인학습자 교육 프로그램 사례 분석을 통해 성인학습자 교육 활성화를 위한 구체적인 방안을 제시하였다. 또한, 인구구조 변화에 따른 성인학습자의 교육 수요를 분석하여 정책적 대안을 도출하였다. · 연구결과: 성인학습자의 학습 참여를 촉진하기 위해 대학은 강의 시간과 과정의 유연성을 확대하고, 학습 상담 및 경력 개발 서비스를 제공해야 한다. 또한, 학점 인정 정책을 명확히 하고 경제적 지원을 강화하여 성인학습자의 학습 접근성을 높여야 한다는 결론을 도출하였다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 본 연구는 성인학습자를 위한 맞춤형 교육 방안을 제시하여 대학의 지속 가능성을 확보하는 데 기여하며, 정부와 대학 간 협력의 중요성을 강조하였다. 이를 통해 성인학습자의 학습 참여가 확대되고, 노동 시장에서의 경쟁력 향상 및 평생학습 사회로의 전환이 가속화될 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
· Research topics: This study seeks ways to revitalize the education of adult learners in universities and aims to secure the sustainability of university education through re-education for the middle-aged. · Research background: The importance of lifelong learning is emphasized with the transition to a knowledge-based society in the 21st century. In particular, as the school-age population decreases due to changes in the demographic structure, the need for adult learner education is emerging for the sustainability of universities. Accordingly, universities need to develop new educational measures to meet the needs of adult learners and promote their participation in learning. · Differences from prior research: Existing studies have mainly focused on adult learners' learning motivation or obstacles. However, this study proposes a comprehensive strategy for revitalizing adult learners' education at the university level. In particular, it comprehensively deals with a customized curriculum reflecting the characteristics of adult learners, improved access to learning, and flexible academic management measures and attempts an integrated approach to supporting adult learners at the institutional level of universities. · Research method: This study suggested specific measures for revitalizing adult learners' education through case analysis of the university's adult learner education program and literature research. In addition, policy alternatives were derived by analyzing the educational demand of adult learners according to changes in the demographic structure. · Research results: To promote adult learners' participation in learning, universities should expand the flexibility of lecture time and process and provide learning counseling and career development services. In addition, it was concluded that the credit recognition policy should be clarified and economic support should be strengthened to increase the accessibility of adult learners to learning. · Contribution points and expected effects: This study contributed to securing university sustainability by suggesting customized educational measures for adult learners and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the government and universities. Through this, adult learners are expected to expand their participation in learning, improve competitiveness in the labor market, and accelerate the transition to a lifelong learning society.
