Abstract
The Anthropocene era istigated by human-centered thinking and behavior demands a fundamental consideration of the relationship between humans and all beings in the global ecosystem other than humans. This study examined foreign studies on posthuman ecological perspectives and learning in the field of early childhood education over the past decade. As a result of the study, the posthuman ecological perspective criticized the dualism of nature and society that recognized human superiority based on the Western philosophy, and further expanded educational discussion on pluralism, claiming that the global ecosystem is a common world of not only humans but also various other beings. In addition, qualitative research from the posthuman ecological perspective considered the meaning of new learning revealed by paying attention to the previously trivial encounters between humans and all beings. Finally, the implications of this study for teacher education and ecological transformation education policies for changes in early childhood education in the Anthropocene were discussed.
