음악 교육에서의 실행연구 관련 논문 분석

본 논문의 목적은 외국에서 수행된 음악 교육 현장의 실행연구 논문 분석을 통해서 음악교육 분야 실행 연구에 대해 탐색하고 우리나라 음악 교육 현장에 실행연구의 적용 가능성에대한 시사점을 얻는 것이다. 이를 위하여 음악 교육 현장의 박사학위 논문 3개를 선정하여연구영역, 연구 참여자, 연구 과정의 설계, 자료 수집 방법, 자료 분석 방법, 타당성 확보 방법의 영역으로 나누어 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 음악 교육에서의 실행연구는 모두 현장에서 발견된 문제를 중심으로 당사자들이 연구에 참여하고 있었다. 둘째, 연구 참여자들은 초등학생부터 예비교사 및 현장 교사까지 다양했으며, 초등학생의 경우 고학년 이상을 대상으로하였다. 셋째, 진행 과정에서 교사(교수)가 중심이 되어 연구를 수행하였다. 넷째, 면담 및 관찰이 주된 자료 수집 방법이었으며 음악 수업의 특성을 반영한 자료들도 다양하게 수집되었다. 또한 수집된 자료들은 질적 특성을 지니고 있었으므로 질적 연구의 대표적인 자료 분석방법인 부호화(코딩)가 모든 연구에서 활용되었다. 다섯째, 세 연구들은 모두 연구 현장 및 참여자의 특성을 반영한 다양한 방법으로 타당성을 확보하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze action research studies in music education in overseas and to draw implications for the applicability to action research into the music education in Korea. To do so, three doctoral dissertations in music education were examined in terms of research area, participants, research design, data collection and analysis and the validity. The results of this study are as follows: (1) All of the researches found problems in the field of music education, and both the researchers and the participants actively participated. (2) Participants ranged from high grades elementary school students to pre-service teachers and teachers. (3) Teachers (or professors) played a central role in the research process. (4) Interviews and observations were the main method of data collection, and a variety of materials were collected that reflected the characteristics of music classes. Furthermore, the coding, a typical method of data analysis for qualitative research, was used in all studies. (5) All three studies validated the validity in various ways, depending on the characteristics of the study(Research problems, participants, types of data, etc.).
