윤리클리닉으로서 윤리상담에 관한 일 고찰

청소년기는 인성형성의 중요한 시기이다. 인성교육의 중핵교과로서 도덕과의 내실 있는 교육은 학생들의 올바른 인성형성을 위해 특히 요구된다. 도덕과 교사가 학생들의 인성형성에 기여하고 보다 체계적이고 충실한 도덕과 교육을 하기 위해서는 도덕과 교사들의 수업 시간 내의 역할과 더불어 수업 시간 외의 역할도 중요하게 논의되어야 한다. 도덕과 수업을 담당하는 교사는 학생들의 인성이 어떻게 형성되며 각각의 발달 단계에 결정적 역할을 하는 요인은 무엇인가에 대해 인식하고 학생들과 신뢰 속에서 공감하고 소통할 수 있어야 한다. 이는 도덕과 교육에서 교사가 상담자로서의 역할도 함께 담당할 것을 요청한다고 할 수 있다. 한정된 도덕과 수업시간과 공간을 극복하고 보다 효율적인 도덕과 교육을 일구어내기 위해서는 도덕과 교사가 학생들을 만나는 모든 순간과 모든 장소가 곧 도덕 수업의 연장선일 수 있어야 한다. 윤리상담에서 도덕과 교사는 학생들 개개인에 대해 다음과 같은 역할을 수행하도록 제안할 수 있다. 첫째, 도덕적 사고의 촉진자로서의 역할이다. 둘째, 학생들의 인성발달 상황에 대한 인지자와 발달촉진자로서의 역할이다. 셋째, 학생과 소통하고 공감할 수 있는 교사의 역할이다. 넷째, 학생들이 삶의 구체적인 맥락에서 삶의 목적과 가치의 문제에 대해 효과적인 대화를 할 것이 요구된다. 궁극적으로 마음치료자, 도덕적 인격 형성 촉진자로서의 도덕교사의 역할을 통해 윤리클리닉으로서의 윤리상담을 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
Adolescence is a critical period in personality development. Fruitful moral education is particularly required for the formation of upright character as a core curriculum of personality education. To contribute to personality development of students and provide them for the more systematic and substantial moral curriculum, it must be significantly discussed about the role of moral education teachers during not only class but non-class times. Moral education teachers should recognize how to build the personality of students, and communicate empathically with students under mutual trust. This is also a calling for counselor role of moral education teacher. To surmount the limited conditions of moral class and cultivate moral education, moral education teachers should extend their boundaries in every area wherever or whenever they are. Moral education teachers can suggest individual student for the follwings: (1) the role as facilitator, (2) the role as assistant of each development process of each students, (3) the role as a teacher who can understand and communicate with students, (4) the necessity for effective conversation ability about the issues of the meaning, the purpose, and the value from students' life experiences. Therefore, this study suggests that ethics consultation should play a part as a ethics clinic through the study of the moral education teachers' role as a mind therapist and the ethics consultation.
