미디어 리터러시 교육의 방향에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to diagnose the actual status of media literacy education within the Korean language curriculum and to seek and propose directions to move forward for the practical and macroscopic design and development of media literacy education. Due to the linguistic nature of the media, the Korean language curriculum has been providing media literacy education for years. However, when looking at the aspects of media literacy education in Korean language subjects, the knowledge structure was absent, and the acceptance method of media text was very peripheral. In this study, as a way to overcome these problems, it was proposed to establish a knowledge structure for media literacy. If learners establish a knowledge structure about media literacy, they can process verbal and social information surrounding the media, and understand the principles that the phenomenon that occurs in the media ecosystem works. This study proposed macroscopic content in three aspects: the nature of media, media literacy and information processing, and media content as details for establishing the structure of knowledge about media literacy.
