ศึกษาลักษณะร่วมทางวัฒนธรรมไทย-เกาหลีจากลักษณนาม : กรณีศึกษาคำแปลคำเฉพาะทางวัฒนธรรม

เฉพาะทางวัฒนธรรมสะท้อนให้เห็นลักษณะวัฒนธรรมของประเทศที่ใช้ภาษานั้น ๆ ตลอดจนเป็นปัจจัยที่ทำให้เข้าใจลักษณะร่วมทางวัฒนธรรมของภาษาต้นทางและภาษาปลายทางในการแปลด้วย บทความนี้ มุ่งศึกษาเกี่ยวกับคำเฉพาะทางวัฒนธรรมหมวดลักษณนามภาษาเกาหลีและคำแปลในภาษาไทย โดยวิเคราะห์รูปแบบการแปลลักษณนามภาษาเกาหลีเป็นภาษาไทยที่รวบรวมมาจากพจนานุกรมสำหรับชาวต่างชาติโดยสถาบันภาษาเกาหลีแห่งชาติจำนวนทั้งหมด 105 คำ จากการศึกษาพบว่า พบว่าประเทศไทยและประเทศเกาหลีมีลักษณะร่วมทางวัฒนธรรมในสัดส่วนที่สูงในบริบทการใช้ลักษณนาม แม้ว่าจะเป็นคำที่มาจากภาษาจีนก็มีคำแปลในภาษาไทยโดยคำแปลในภาษาไทยไม่สัมพันธ์กับภาษาจีนเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ในขณะที่ลักษณนามที่แสดงความเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของวัฒนธรรมเกาหลี กล่าวคือ ไม่มีคำแปลในภาษาไทยมีอยู่น้อย จึงสรุปได้ว่า ประเทศไทยประเทศเกาหลีมีลักษณะร่วมทางวัฒนธรรมที่ถ่ายทอดออกมาทางการใช้ลักษณนามมาก
Abstract
Culture-bound terms in a language reflex culture aspects implicit in the country that the language is used while takes an important role of understanding the similarity between the country of the source text and the country of the target language in translation process. This study examined Korean culture-bound terms relevant to quantifying nouns and their equivalents in Thai by classify the translation patterns of 105 Korean quantifying nouns collected from the Korean online dictionary for Foreigners developed by the National Institute of Korean Language. The finding of the study was that there is the high ratio of cultural similarity between Korea and Thailand in the context of using quantifying nouns. Even the ones from Chinese, it’s found that there are equivalents in Thai but majority has no relation with Chinese. However, the quantifying nouns with no equivalents in Thai and show Korean distinguish culture were found in few proportion. Therefore, it can be concluded that Korean and Thai have high cultural similarity rate appeared in quantifying nouns.
