대학 글쓰기 교육 이대로 좋은가- 문제점과 과제-

이 글의 목적은 현재 대학 글쓰기의 문제점을 분석하고 이를 해결하기 위한 과제를 설정하는 것이다. 오늘날 우리 대학의 글쓰기 교육은 인재의 핵심 역량을 기르는 교육으로 자리잡고 있으며 한국의 특수한 교육 현실을 고려하면 중등 교육과 전공 교육의 부실을 보완하는 기능까지 갖고 있다는 점에서 그 의의는 분명하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 대학 글쓰기 교육은 세 가지 측면에서 문제점을 가진다. 첫째, 교수자의 지위가 불안정하며 글쓰기 교육에도 전문적 연구가 필요하다는이해가 부족하다. 둘째, 분명한 교육목적에 따라 구체화된 교수 모델이 부족하다. 셋째, 반 별 수강인원이 많고 교육지원체계가 부실하다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 교육 정책당국과 한국교양기초교육원이 평가와지원 등의 적절한 접근을 통하여 대학을 자극하고 선도해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
I will analyse the university writing education, find thefundamental problems and give some proposals to solve them. Nowadays the university writing education is approved to be veryimportant because it gives the core competencies for students. But the writing education in Korean universities has three majorproblems. First, the status of the lecturer is very unstable, and thedegree of understanding the professionalism in this area is very low. Second, we don't have the various teaching approaches which cancover the various educational needs. Third, class-size is usually big,and the backing of the educational supporting systems, like thewriting center, is very weak. To solve these problem, the authorities and the Korea NationalInstitute for General Education should lead - evaluate, direct andsupport - the universities properly.
