The terms are collected from the edition of Wuti Qingwenjian (五體淸文鑑), a 5-language dictionary, from the late 18th century. With the selected terms from Wuti Qingwenjian it is also investigated the direction of borrowing and meaning-change. Through the investigation, it is identified following 4 kinds:ⅰ) the horse-terms are mainly borrowed from Mongol to Manchu language. ⅱ) The Manchu terms conserves the Mongolian n-stem forms. ⅲ) The Mongolian loan words in Manchu have an final vowels, which don’t exist in the Mongolian language. ⅳ) There are also some terms as kulkuliq (čaγan) and naiman aǰinai, which are borrowed from Manchu or Chinese to Mongolian.
