결속구조 비교와 번역 ―중한텍스트 대조분석을 중심으로

본 논문은 Halliday와 Hason이 그들의 저서 Cohesion in English(1976)》에서 제시한 '결속구조(cohesion) 이론'을 중한번역 텍스트에 대조 분석하고 연구해 보았다. 필자는 본 연구를 통해 결속구조 이론을 제보유형의 신문기사에 적용하면서 필자가 발견한 특징들에 관해 짧게 소개하고자 한다. 바탕으로 중한텍스트에 실질적으로 응용해 보았다. 다음은 본문의 주요 내용과 주요 발견 사항을 요약한 것이다. 서론에서는 텍스트언어학(text linguistics)이 번역연구에 미친 영향에 대해 짧게 논하고, 텍스트언어학을 번역연구에 접목한 국내외 학자들을 소개했다. 2장에서는 결속구조(cohesion)에 대한 정의를 살펴보고, 문법적 결속구조(gram -matical cohesion) , 어휘적 결속구조(lexical cohesion)로 나누어 중한텍스트를 대조분석했다. 문법적 결속구조에는 지시(reference), 생략(ellipsis)과 대용·대체(sub -stitution), 접속(conjunction)이, 어휘적 결속구조에는 반복(repetition)과 연어(collocation)가 포함된다. 3장에서는 제보유형의 텍스트 중 언어를 중심으로 전달하는 신문기사를 예로 들어 각각의 결속구조가 중한텍스트에서 어떻게 연쇄되는지 대조분석하고, 텍스트 유형 별로 결속구조를 대조분석 해 볼 필요성에 대해서도 논했다.
Abstract
In recent decades, the combination of translation studies with linguistics, sociology, culturology, philosophy and other disciplines has made great progress. In particular, linguistics and translatology have always been closely related. Since the 1960s, linguists have gradually broken through the research scope of taking sentence as the highest language unit and expanded their perspective to discourse, "text linguistics" has sprung up since then. As an important topic in linguistics or translation studies, "cohesion theory" has long been widely and deeply studied in linguistic circles at home and abroad. However, like many subjects in language contrastive studies, the comparison of textual cohesion between the two languages is rarely paid attention to. Therefore, from the perspective of text linguistics, this paper will focus on the cohesion proposed by Halliday and hason The first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the rise of text linguistics and representative scholars at home and abroad. The second chapter divides the cohesion mechanism into two sections: the definition of cohesion and the classification of cohesion, so as to understand the Cohesion Mechanism of Chinese and Korean texts Chapter three applies cohesion theory to Chinese and Korean news texts, makes a comparative analysis of the Cohesion Mechanism of the two texts, and essentially discusses the application and practice of cohesion theory in Chinese and Korean text translation.
