초등학생의 사이버 불링 실태와 원인에 대한 조사연구 : 경기도 초등학교 고학년 학생을 중심으로

본 연구는 경기도 소재 초등학교 고학년 학생들의 사이버 불링 실태를 조사해보고, 사이버 불링 피해 및 가해 빈도에 영향을 미치는 변인(대인관계 변인, 도덕성 변인)을 규명하여 초등학교 사이버 불링 교육의 기본 방향을 설정하는데 그 목적이 있다. 조사 결과, 경기도 초등학교 고학년 학생들은 5명 중 1명 꼴로 사이버 불링 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 1주일에 1회 이상 지속적이고 반복적인 피해를 경험한 학생은 전체 조사 인원 중 8.8%, 가해 경험이 있는 학생은 전체 조사 인원 중 6.3%인 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 사용 영역별 피해 및 가해 빈도는 인터넷 커뮤니티, 휴대전화, 메신저 대화방, 개인 홈페이지 순으로 빈번한 것으로 나타났다. 사이버 불링 피해 빈도는 교우관계, 책임, 존중, 민주적 대화 변인과 관계가 있으며 이 중 교우관계와 가장 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사이버 불링 가해 빈도는 부모와 교사의 통제정도, 타인배려, 존중, 민주적 대화와 관계가 있으며 이 중 민주적 대화와 가장 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 조사 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 초등학교 5․6학년 학생의 사이버 불링 예방 교육의 기본 방향을 설정해 보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the status and causes of cyber bullying with fifth and sixth grade students living in Gyeonggi-do. The results found in this study are as follows:First, 26.1% of elementary students surveyed experienced cyber bullying, and 21.5% of elementary students have bullied others. Second, 8.8% of the students have experienced consistent and repeated grief. And 6.3% of the students consistently and repeatedly bothered others. Third, the frequency of cyber bullying occurred most within internet communities, then mobile phones, chat rooms, and personal homepages. Fourth, friendship, responsibility, respectfulness, and communication skill are all related to the amount of harm students experience from cyber bullying. Cyber bullying has a greater impact on students as these characteristics worsen. Among those four characteristics, friendship had the most correlation. Finally, guidance from parents or teachers, care, respectfulness, and communication skill are all related to the amount of harm students cause through cyber bullying as these characteristics worsen. And among those, communication skill had the most correlation.
