초록
This study was carried out with the objective of investigating the common and different features between native speakers of Japanese and Korean. Through researching the actual usage conditions of location indicators (ko, so, a), the common and different features were investigated through comparing the awareness of understanding and actual usage of location indicators between speakers of both languages. The survey was carried out both in Korean and Japanese and answered by 100 people respectively. The people taking the survey had three choices "ko," "so," "a" to choose for each question. Based on all categories and hypothesis, analysis of the differences were compared. Furthermore, an overall examination of the patterns of fusion of visible objects of indication and invisible objects of indication was conducted. As a result, in the overall pattern of fusion for location indicators, native speakers of Korean had a tendency to have a further sense of object indication; however, native speakers of Japanese in the same situation had a tendency to sense the same object indications in a more spatial and physical way. Especially for visible patterns of fusion of object indication, when compared to invisible object indication, the difference between the usage of object indicators clearly appears between the Korean language and Japanese language; so, it can be said that special attention must be payed when teaching the usage of object indication to native speakers of Korean who are learning Japanese. For mid-distance patterns of fusion, when referring to an actual object (a tangible object/thing), the appearance of "so" was apparent in native speakers of Japanese. In comparison, for people that appear on television or in movies, reminiscing about the past, and conjectures (intangible objects/things), it was found that the appearance of "so" is scarce. As for native speakers of Korean, preceeding studies denied the usage of patterns of fusion of "so" for mid-distance situations; however, through this study, it was found that patterns of fusions of "so" can also be used when referring to mid-distance objects. Moreover, it can also said that "so" appears frequently when indicating especially familiar objects (one's possessions).
