본고는 일본어 문법 수업에 사회언어학적 내용을 도입한 효과와 성과를 분석하기 위해, 수업 전후 설문 조사와 수업 분석을 실시하였다. 수업 전 설문 조사 결과, 학습자들은 일본어 문법 수업에 사회언어학적 내용의 도입을 희망하는 경향을 보였다. 이를 바탕으로 설계된 수업을 통해, 문법의 사회문화적 접근 필요성, 사회언어학적 관점에서의 문법 재해석, 그리고 이문화간 커뮤니케이션 개념 도입을 통한 의사소통 능력 향상이 요구됨을 확인하였다. 수업 후 설문 조사 결과, 사회언어학적 내용과 이문화간 커뮤니케이션 개념을 포함한 수업에 대한 학습자의 만족도가 높았으며, 학습 효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다는 점이 나타났다. 본고를 통해 일본어 문법 학습과 사회언어학 및 이문화간 커뮤니케이션을 연계함으로써 학습자가 사회적 구조와 문화적 함의를 탐구할 기회를 제공하고, 실질적인 일본어 운용 능력을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
This study looked at how adding sociolinguistic content to Japanese grammar classes affected students. It used surveys before and after class and analyzed the classes themselves. The pre-class survey revealed that learners exhibited a preference for the inclusion of sociolinguistic content in Japanese grammar instruction. The classes were created to emphasize the importance of a sociocultural view of grammar, to rethink grammar using a sociolinguistic approach, and to improve communication skills by including intercultural communication. The post-class survey indicated high learner satisfaction with the classes that integrated sociolinguistic content and intercultural communication concepts, as well as their positive impact on learning outcomes. This study showed that combining Japanese grammar teaching with sociolinguistics and intercultural communication helps learners understand social structures and cultural meanings, which improves their practical Japanese skills.
